Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proven experience as a welder with proficiency in arc, TIG, MIG, and flux core welding techniques.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and welding symbols accurately.
  • Familiarity with operating overhead cranes and other material handling equipment.
  • Strong understanding of metal fabrication processes and safety standards.
  • The required welding skills such as arc, TIG, MIG, and flux core welding are essential for joining various metal components with precision and strength.
  • Reading blueprints and technical drawings daily enables you to understand project requirements and execute welds that meet exact specifications.
  • Operating overhead cranes safely is crucial for handling heavy materials and positioning them correctly during fabrication.
  • Metal fabrication skills, including cutting and shaping, complement welding tasks to produce finished products efficiently.

Nice To Haves

  • Certification from a recognized welding program or institution (e.g., AWS Certified Welder).

Responsibilities

  • Perform arc welding, TIG, MIG, and flux core welding to join metal parts according to specifications.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and welding symbols to determine the appropriate welding process and sequence.
  • Operate overhead cranes and other material handling equipment to position heavy metal components safely and accurately.
  • Conduct metal fabrication tasks including cutting, shaping, and assembling metal parts using various tools and techniques.
  • Inspect welded joints for quality and compliance with industry standards, performing brazing and other finishing processes as needed.
  • Maintain welding equipment and ensure all safety protocols are followed to prevent accidents and injuries.
  • Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot welding issues and improve production efficiency.
