As part of the Production Department, the Welder will be responsible for performing high-quality welding on various materials and supporting the assembly and fabrication of equipment, with a focus on precision and safety.

Requirements

  • Strong mechanical aptitude, self-motivation, and general welding ability.
  • Proven experience with TIG welding and purge techniques.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a job shop environment.
  • Commitment to safety and precision in a regulated production environment.

  • Eagerness to learn and operate automatic orbital welding equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs) and general arrangement drawings.
  • Assemble, lay out, and fit components for welding and fabrication.
  • Perform TIG welding with purge techniques on stainless steel, carbon steel piping, hydraulic lines, and other materials.
  • Produce full-penetration welds suitable for sanitary environments.
  • Silver braze and/or solder copper refrigeration lines.
  • Operate or learn to operate computer-controlled orbital welding equipment.
  • Use a variety of machine tools and metal fabrication equipment safely and competently (e.g., lathe, drill press, milling machine).
