About The Position

TBEI – Tishomingo is hiring Welders to join its DuraClass team, which manufactures Class 3–8 truck bodies and truck and trailer hoists. Welders move, position, align, tack, clamp, and wire-feed weld steel components. The role requires accurate measurements, consistent weld quality, routine equipment maintenance, and a clean, safe work area. Welders also support Lean manufacturing and team-based improvements. Recent graduates are accepted if they have basic welding skills, a positive attitude, and willingness to learn.

Requirements

• Ability to pass a pre-employment welding test.
• Must be medically cleared to wear a respirator when welding stainless steel.
• Ability to rapidly and efficiently produce high-quality welded parts.
• Capable of reading blueprints and using measuring tools.
• Must have a good attitude, basic welding skills, and willingness to learn; recent graduates are accepted.
• Must be reliable and have great attendance.

Responsibilities

• Move components into place using a jib boom, crane, conveyors, or manual lifting.
• Read and interpret blueprints to lay out, position, and align parts.
• Tack weld and clamp components in preparation for welding.
• Efficiently perform wire-feed welding on steel components.
• Ensure measurement accuracy and consistent weld quality.
• Perform routine equipment maintenance.
• Keep a clean, organized workspace.
• Maintain a strong safety mindset and prioritize safety in all work activities.
• Support Lean manufacturing and team-based improvements.
