About The Position

The IFH Group, Inc. is seeking a full-time Welder to join their fabrication team. This role is responsible for performing precise and strong MIG and TIG weldments using standard fabrication techniques and according to specified requirements. The position requires meticulous attention to detail, a strong emphasis on safety and quality, and the ability to take accurate measurements and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and schematics. This is a 100% on-site position in Rock Falls, Illinois.

Requirements

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
  • Ability to perform MIG and TIG welding.
  • Ability to perform strong and precise weldments according to bead size and other specifications.
  • Basic reading, math, and writing skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and schematics.
  • Ability to take and use accurate measurements.
  • Ability to operate and use hand and power tools, and welding and brazing equipment, torches, and shields.
  • Ability to demonstrate professionalism and use respectful communication with employees at all levels within the organization.
  • Ability and willingness to comply with all company policies, processes, and procedures including, but not limited to safety and code of conduct.
  • Ability to apply basic computer skills.
  • Ability to fluently speak, read, write, and understand English.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate’s degree or certificate from accredited academic institution in welding highly preferred.
  • Two (2) years’ previous work experience with machine/metal fabrication, MIG welding, and/or TIG welding highly preferred.
  • Combination of college coursework and relevant work experience highly preferred.

Responsibilities
