Requirements
- Previous welding experience is preferred.
- Strong command of all welding positions.
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- Willingness to achieve D1.1 GMAW and D1.3 GMAW qualifications during training.
- Must pass a welding assessment (75%+) within the first week.
- Must pass a general shop assessment (100%) within the first week.
Responsibilities
- MIG Weld mild steel ranging from 20-gauge to 1-inch plate.
- Fabricate hydraulic tanks, fuel tanks, fenders, platforms, and custom sheet metal designs.
- Read blueprints and interpret weld symbols.
- Perform machine setups.
- Use grinders and abrasives for clean finishes.
- Safely operate cranes, positioners, magnets, hooks, and fixtures.
