About The Position

Daifuku is seeking a Welder to join its manufacturing team. Welders join metal parts using high heat to form permanent bonds. The role involves operating wire-feed welding equipment, interpreting blueprints, choosing the appropriate welding position and metal, setting up equipment, and ensuring completed welds meet required standards and specifications. Employees must follow Daifuku’s QMS policies and procedures and support sustainable process outputs, continuous improvement, strong industry performance, and customer satisfaction. This is a full-time, second-shift position, Monday through Friday, from 2:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. Applicants must be able to identify exact measurements on a tape measure and have at least one year of welding experience.

Requirements

At least one year of welding experience.
Ability to identify exact measurements on a tape measure.
Good mechanical aptitude.
Ability to read blueprints.
Knowledge of hand tools and power tools.
Good communication skills.
Knowledge of quality assurance and self-inspection techniques.
Self-motivated and detail-oriented.
Team orientation.
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
Ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, up to 20 pounds frequently, and up to 10 pounds constantly.
Ability to reach, stand, walk, push, and grasp as described in the job conditions.
Close visual acuity for inspection, measurement, machine operation, and fabrication tasks, and visual acuity to assess the accuracy and neatness of work.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Certificate or associate degree in welding.
Crane operation experience.
Forklift operation experience.

Responsibilities

Operate welding machines that feed wire to bond materials.
Plan work by interpreting blueprints.
Determine the welding position and type of metal to be fused.
Select and set up welding equipment.
Ensure welds meet standards and specifications.
