About The Position

This position is responsible for assisting in the timely production of all welded parts and ensuring that welds are completed within acceptable quality standards. The role involves performing MIG, hand, and robotic welding operations, inspecting product quality, performing preventive maintenance on equipment, and accurately reporting daily activities. The welder will also conduct quality checks using basic measurement equipment, maintain a clean and safe work area, and exercise safe working habits, including the proper use of personal protective equipment. Active contribution to the continuous improvement of the safety culture is expected, including participation in safety training and prompt reporting of safety concerns. Other duties may be assigned as needed.

Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED required.
• Prior welding experience, required.
• Ability to pass welding certification test.
• Must pass drug and alcohol screen and remain drug free throughout the term of employment.
• Must follow all safety practices and policies.
• Able to read and understand blueprints and geometric tolerances.
• Must be able to physically lift 65 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Perform MIG, hand and robotic welding operations to produce product at the required production and quality level as instructed.
• Perform inspection on product utilizing total quality concepts.
• Perform preventive maintenance on equipment as needed.
• Accurately report daily activities on work orders and other media as required.
• Conduct required quality checks using basic measurement equipment.
• Keep work areas clean and free of safety hazards.
• Exercise safe working habits while operating machines, including proper use of personal protective equipment.
• Actively contribute to the continuous improvement of safety culture, participating in safety training sessions, and promptly reporting any safety concerns.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
