About The Position

FAST Global Solutions is seeking a Welder for our Night shift in Falls City, NE. This role involves manufacturing top quality, robust equipment for major cargo handlers and airlines. The company has been delivering solutions for over 40 years and prides itself on helping customers, communities, and employees thrive. The night shift runs from 4 pm – 2:30 am, Monday through Thursday, with overtime on Friday as needed. A sign-on bonus of $2,500 is offered, along with a night shift differential of $2.50 per hour.

Requirements

High school diploma, GED, or at least 1-3 months related experience.
Basic language and math skills and reasoning ability.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and ERP software.
Must be able to stand continuously for a 10 hour shift.
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
Vision with depth perception is required.
Ability to work in varying temperatures and levels of humidity.

Nice To Haves

Experience with Microsoft Dynamics AX or Dynamics D365 is preferred.

Responsibilities

Reads and interprets blueprints and machine drawings to determine specific welding requirements.
Connects cables from welding unit to obtain amperage, voltage, slope, and pulse, as specified by engineer.
Manually guides electrode or gun along weld line, maintaining length of arc and speed of movement to form specified depth of fusion and bead, as judged from color of metal, sound of weld and size of molten puddle.
Welds in flat, horizontal, vertical or overhead positions.
Examines weld for bead size and other specifications.
Repairs broken or cracked parts and fills holes.
Positions and clamps workpieces together or assembles them in jig or fixtures.
Selects torch, torch tip, filler ford and flux, according to welding chart specifications or type and thickness of material.
Tacks assemblies together.
Chips off excess weld, slag, and spatter.
Cleans or de-greases parts.
Move parts in and moves finished product out of welding area.
