About The Position

This position is primarily responsible for performing duties such as welding, drilling, tapping, and/or running the saw to cut steel. Core duties and responsibilities include fabricating and assembling metal structures and equipment using welders, cutters, shapers and measuring tools. The welder will also read and interpret diagrams, sketches and blueprints to determine operations, required materials and timeframes for projects, and operate and maintain welding equipment. Additionally, the role involves pushing/pulling carts to stack steel and move it between stations, and operating a forklift.

Requirements

  • Ability to perform welding, drilling, tapping, and/or running the saw to cut steel.
  • Ability to fabricate and assemble metal structures and equipment using welders, cutters, shapers and measuring tools.
  • Ability to read and interpret diagrams, sketches and blueprints.
  • Ability to operate and maintain welding equipment.
  • Ability to push/pull carts.
  • Ability to operate a forklift.

Responsibilities
