About The Position
Under the direction of the Shop Supervisor, the welder is primarily responsible for properly welding equipment, machinery, and on-site plant/facility set-up in an efficient and safe manner. This role involves diagnosing, rebuilding, and repairing vehicles and equipment, completing major road calls, performing field repairs, and working in a shop environment. The position also requires maintaining tools and operating a forklift, while ensuring a safe and healthful work environment by keeping the assigned area clean.
Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- Experience with welding, cutting and fabrication.
Responsibilities
- Weld proficiency includes fabrication and on site plant/facility set-up.
- Diagnose, rebuild, and repair vehicles and equipment.
- Complete major road calls and perform field repairs as well as work in a shop environment.
- Maintain tools as required to perform job.
- Operate forklift.
- Ensure a safe and healthful work environment by keeping assigned area clean from trash and debris at all times.
