Welder - 2nd Shift

We work in a safe, positive, and engaging environment, and believe our employees are the fuel that drives our business. Alliance Steel, Inc. is seeking a Welder 1 to join our growing team. The Welder 1 assists in the fabrication of steel frames and building components. Ability to MIG weld and fit are a plus.
Requirements
- Ability to lift 50lbs., bend, squat, kneel and or stand for extended periods of time
- Must wear proper safety equipment
- Ability to read a tape measure
- Knowledge of basic math (add, subtract, multiply & divide fractions)
- Must meet ASTM F2413-18 standards
- Must be full-leather (no fabric)
- Must have a built-in Metatarsal Guard (MT)
Nice To Haves
- Ability to MIG weld and fit
- Familiar/fluent in MIG processes
- Previous experience with plasma torches & oxy acetylene cutting a plus
- Welding certifications beneficial but not required
Responsibilities
- Scrapers, 7” grinders, welding hood and gouger for tools used
- Safely perform skilled welding in the fabrication of steel frames and building components
- Maintain proper housekeeping of assigned work area
- Must always have a high awareness for safety
- Any other duties assigned
- Must train on company policies and procedures
- Must follow welding procedures
