Use hand-welding or flame-cutting equipment to weld or join metal components or to fill holes, indentations, or seams of fabricated metal products. This role requires operating safety equipment and using safe work habits. Welders will operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment to fuse metal segments using various processes. They will monitor the fitting, burning, and welding processes to avoid overheating, warping, shrinking, distortion, or expansion of material. Additionally, welders will examine work pieces for defects and ensure conformance with specifications. The position involves laying out, positioning, aligning, and securing parts and assemblies prior to assembly. This role also includes performing other related duties as required.
