About The Position

Heidelberg Materials is one of the world's largest suppliers of building materials. Heidelberg Materials North America operates over 450 locations across the U.S. and Canada with approximately 9,000 employees. This role performs welding and fabrication to repair and maintain plant equipment. The Welder will safely operate welding machines, cutting torches, and hand tools, inspect equipment and welds to ensure quality and operational reliability, identify repair needs, and support maintenance activities to reduce downtime. The position requires following all safety standards and collaborating with plant teams.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated ability to perform MIG, TIG, and stick welding safely and accurately
  • Capability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and weld symbols
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Commitment to safety and quality workmanship in an industrial environment
  • Successful candidate must submit to post-offer pre-employment physical examination, drug/alcohol screen, and background check

Responsibilities

  • Perform welding and fabrication to repair and maintain plant equipment
  • Safely operate welding machines, cutting torches, and hand tools
  • Inspect equipment and welds to ensure quality and operational reliability

  • Follow all safety standards and work collaboratively with plant teams
