About The Position
Specialty Pulley, Inc. (SPI) is a manufacturer of industrial material handling components specializing in welding services since 2008. The ideal candidate will have a basic knowledge of, and ability to read prints, be able to read a tape measure, know the difference between various kinds of structural steel, be able to weld in the flat position at a minimum, and have the knowledge to set up their welding machine and space. Although a welding certificate is not required, welding experience and the ability and desire to learn and grow is essential. SPI manufactures equipment for the material handling industry.
Requirements
- Basic knowledge of reading prints.
- Ability to read a tape measure.
- Understanding of various kinds of structural steel.
- Knowledge to set up welding machines and space.
- Ability to weld in the flat position at a minimum.
- Welding experience and the ability and desire to learn and grow.
- Positive work ethic and attitude.
- Trainable and eager to learn.
- Ability and willingness to follow directions.
- Team player.
- Good attendance.
Responsibilities
- Fabricate and repair metal and other weldable materials using appropriate techniques.
- Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines and specifications.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Continuously improve welding techniques and processes to enhance productivity.
