About The Position

This position is for a Welder on the 2nd shift, Monday – Friday, 1:50 pm – 9:50 pm, with a starting wage of $28.00 plus a $2.30 shift differential. The role is located in Staunton, VA, within a climate-controlled facility. Daikin Applied offers growth opportunities in a supportive environment.

Requirements

The ability to lift, push, and/or pull materials, stand for majority of the shift, and work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while maintaining proper PPE
The ability to use hand tools for extended periods of time
The ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
High School Education/GED OR Minimum 2 years of related experience in a manufacturing/production environment

Responsibilities

Read, interpret, understand, and work from blueprints, schematics, bills of material, routing sheets, labor summaries, and other written, electronic, or verbal instruction
Work with a variety of ferrous, non-ferrous and alloy materials
Operate various tools and equipment used in the fabrication, handling, manipulation and movement of Chiller Product and various welding techniques
Perform within and have working knowledge of ASME Code regulations
Use measuring devices and visual inspection to ensure quality of product and conformity to prints, work instructions and standards
Maintain required records
