About The Position

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Welder/Fabricator to join our dynamic Production team in Beamsville, ON. The Welder/Fabricator will be responsible for welding, fabricating, and assembling components used in controlled environment systems including irrigation systems, climate control equipment, structural assemblies, and other horticultural products. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with MIG and TIG welding, metal fabrication, blueprint reading, and safe shop practices. Attention to detail, strong workmanship, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively are essential. This role will also support other production tasks as needed.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; welding or fabrication certification preferred.
  • 2+ years of welding and metal fabrication experience in a manufacturing or production environment preferred.
  • Proficiency in MIG welding required; TIG welding experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience working with stainless steel, aluminum, and mild steel materials.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, fabrication drawings, and welding symbols.
  • Familiarity with fabrication and measuring tools including grinders, band saws, drill presses, tape measures, calipers, and squares.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude.
  • Ability to lift materials and work in physically demanding shop conditions.
  • Reliable, punctual, and adaptable with a strong work ethic.

Nice To Haves

  • Forklift, reach truck, and scissor lift experience (preferred but not required).

Responsibilities

  • Perform MIG and TIG welding on stainless steel, aluminum, and mild steel components according to blueprints, drawings, and work instructions.
  • Fabricate, fit, and assemble metal components and structures used in horticultural and controlled environment systems.
  • Operate fabrication equipment including grinders, saws, drill presses, ironworkers, and other shop tools safely and effectively.
  • Read and interpret technical drawings, welding symbols, and fabrication specifications accurately.
  • Inspect welded assemblies to ensure weld quality, dimensional accuracy, and compliance with company standards.
  • Perform finishing work including grinding, polishing, and deburring to meet quality and appearance requirements.
  • Work closely with production team members, supervisors, and engineers to improve fabrication processes and resolve production issues.
  • Maintain welding equipment and work areas in a clean, organized, and safe condition.
  • Follow all company safety procedures and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
  • Assist with material handling, inventory tracking, and packaging of completed assemblies when required.
  • Support other production tasks as needed.
