About The Position

This is a full-time position for a Welder in Catoosa, OK. The role requires the ability to work in a team, be self-motivated, dependable, and willing to work over 40 hours when needed. A high pace of work is expected, with safety as the top priority. The welder must be able to listen and learn from others and work on tasks without sacrificing quality.

Requirements

• High School/GED education.
• 6 Months / Entry level welding experience.
• Qualified in 1 weld position (e.g., 1G, 2G, 3G, 6G).
• Qualified for 1 welding process (SMAW, FCAW, GMAW, GTAW, SAW).
• Qualified for welding 1 material (CS, SS, Chrome, Inco).
• Average weld repair rate (NDE) less than 10% rejection.
• Average header fit-up rejection rate (QC and per ASME standards and fabrication drawings) less than 10%.
• Ability to fit-up all aspects of a header (plug box and cover plate) - not required but willingness to learn.
• Proficiency in cutting processes (carbon arc, plasma cutter) - not required but willingness to learn.
• Proficiency in repairing failed weld joints (NDE) - not required but willingness to learn.
• Must be able to work in a team.
• Must be self-motivated, dependable, and can work over 40 hours when needed.
• Must be able to work at a high pace while keeping safety as the #1 priority.
• Must be able to listen and learn from others.
• Must be able to work on a task without sacrificing quality.
• Able to respectfully identify challenges and, when applicable, propose possible solutions.
• Be self-motivated and driven for individual high performance.

Responsibilities

• Read weld procedures for required parameters and use them accordingly.
• Read prints for weld procedures, weld sizes and dimensions.
• Step outside of preferred welding style when company’s need arises to perform tasks such as fitting nozzles, wrapper plates, etc.
• Follow company’s Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Work with QC to ensure quality is maintained on all projects.
• Operate overhead cranes / jib cranes and have rigging knowledge.
