Welder Fabricator - Day Shift Only - 4 Day Work Week

RoadWorks is a leading manufacturer in innovative aftermarket semi-truck accessories. We are currently hiring a Welder in our Lafayette, IN facility. The position involves TIG welding made-to-order stainless steel parts and accessories for semi-trucks, grinding and finishing work, and training on the laser welder. The ideal candidate must have the ability to TIG weld multiple different gauges of stainless steel. The role requires performing TIG welding on products, setting up components for welding according to specifications, work orders, and/or prints, and cutting aluminum to specification. Additionally, the welder will test and inspect welded surfaces and structures to discover flaws and must be able to work from specifications, drawings, and welding symbols. Requirements
- Ability to TIG weld multiple different gauges of stainless steel.
- Minimum one year of TIG Welding experience; or recent certification from a manufacturing or technical program.
Nice To Haves
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
Responsibilities
- Perform TIG welding on products.
- Set up components for welding according to specifications, work orders and/or prints.
- Cut aluminum to specification.
- Test and inspect welded surfaces and structure to discover flaws.
- Must be able to work from specifications, drawings, and welding symbols.
- Perform MIG & TIG welding on products.
- Perform cosmetic welding on products.
- Must be able to meet daily productivity and output goals (production outputs are measured hourly/daily).
- Weld components using manual or semi-automatic welding equipment in various positions (vertical/ horizontal).
- Repair product and other components by welding pieces and filling gaps.
- Maintain equipment in a condition that does not compromise safety.
