The Welder's primary duty is to weld assemblies per shop drawings, maintain welding equipment, use hand tools, and operate a forklift and overhead crane. The position requires the ability to read and interpret shop drawings, cut, punch, and drill material precisely, and keep the work area clean. The Welder will also be responsible for operating a forklift and overhead crane, setting up, running, and maintaining the welder machine, and working with a Fabricator to determine parts needed. The role involves following directions and performing other duties as required by the company. Additionally, the Welder is expected to attend workshops, seminars, and conferences for professional development, participate in company training, and interact well with all levels of staff and management. While the work does not involve significant travel, the position is based in a warehouse/production facility with moderately high noise levels due to machinery operation.
