About The Position

The Aftermarket Repair organization (PSD) located in Springdale, AR is looking for a Welder for 2nd shift hours are Monday-Friday, 3:00PM - 11:30PM. You will receive a shift differential when working on 2nd shift of 8%. Employees are subject to train on 1st shift. 1st shift hours are Monday-Friday, 6:30AM-3:00PM. Overtime opportunity may be available, after a period of training. Pratt & Whitney PSD is an FAA regulated facility, and compliance with such rules is a condition of employment. PSD is a clean, well-lit, state-of-the-art machining center in a climate-controlled facility.

Requirements

HS diploma (or equivalent, e.g. G.E.D in the US) with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience in welding, precision manufacturing, or related operations preferred.
Technical proficiency in weld processes and equipment operation.
Problem‑solving and ability to recognize abnormal weld conditions.
Effective communication and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

Interpret weld blueprints, specifications, and work instructions accurately.
Prepare and fixture components, ensuring proper alignment, cleanliness, and readiness for welding.
Perform manual bench and electron beam welding in accordance with defined process parameters and quality standards.
Monitor equipment and weld conditions, complete inspections, and address or escalate weld defects appropriately.
Maintain equipment, follow all documentation and traceability requirements, and adhere to weld‑specific safety protocols.

Ability to work independently and as part of a production team.
