About The Position

This position involves performing welding operations on livestock equipment using appropriate jigs and ensuring machines are set correctly according to material requirements. The role also includes maintaining machinery, assisting in various departmental areas, and being responsible for the safety and training of others. The Welder must comply with all documented procedures and the employee handbook, ensuring the quality and quantity of the finished product while fostering a positive team environment and maintaining good housekeeping. Routine preventative maintenance on associated equipment is also a key responsibility, alongside ensuring safety, quality, and production with limited supervision. The role requires practicing safe working habits, following safety policies and procedures, and contributing to the continuous improvement of product quality and ISO-9001 standards. The ability to work both independently and as part of a team is essential.

Requirements

Strong attention to detail.
Be able to read a tape measure.
Have basic mathematical ability.
Position will require lifting 30 to 70 pounds approximately 30% of the time.

Responsibilities

Perform welding operations on livestock equipment using appropriate jigs.
Set machine properly according to material requirements.
Maintain machine and perform other operations as necessary.
Ability to help in all areas of the department as needed.
Responsible for the safety and training of others.
Complies with all documented procedures and employee handbook.
Responsible for the quality and quantity of the finished product.
Creates and maintains a working team environment.
Responsible for maintaining good housekeeping.
Performs routine Preventative Maintenance on associated equipment.
Responsible for safety, quality, and production with limited supervision.
Responsible for any other tasks as requested by the Team Leader.
Practice safe working habits and follow safety policy, procedures, and Job Safety Analysis (JSA).
Ability to work towards continuous improvement of product quality and ISO-9001.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
