About The Position

The Village Companies – MCL Industries Division (Fabrication) is seeking a Welder for their 2nd shift. This role involves producing high-quality metal components through welding, working with various materials and thicknesses, and troubleshooting welding inconsistencies. The Welder will follow welding procedures, blueprints, and technical standards to ensure quality and consistency, while also maintaining a safe and organized work area. This position is hands-on and plays an important role in building products. The ideal candidate values craftsmanship, safety, and teamwork, and enjoys problem-solving and continuous skill improvement.

Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Technical degree preferred with 3+ years of welding experience.
Moderate to advanced welding skills.
Ability to weld in flat and vertical positions.
Strong understanding of welding procedures and specifications.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
Proficient with measuring devices and welding equipment adjustments.
Basic computer skills.
Solid understanding of manufacturing fundamentals.
Ability to follow direction, adapt quickly, and stay flexible in a changing environment.
Ability to lift 25 lbs regularly and up to 50 lbs for short periods.
Ability to sit, stand, bend, and move throughout the workday.

Reduce hazardous waste and look for safer, more efficient ways to complete work.
Follow all product verification and inspection steps throughout the build process.
Understand and apply preventative and corrective actions to ensure high-quality results.
Take ownership of your work and ensure it meets expectations the first time.
