About The Position

Volt is immediately hiring a Welder in Orangeburg, SC. This is a temp-to-perm opportunity with a fast-growing global company. The Welder will perform minor repairs and apply basic welding processes, manually Mig Weld, install wires, and set the heat for the welding machine. They will visually inspect weld length and penetration, identify components for work assignment, and complete operator worksheets daily and hourly. The role also involves referring non-conforming issues to a team leader or supervisor, performing daily quality checks, reading and following the daily production schedule, handling parts and equipment safely, maintaining 5s in the work area daily, and filling out the operator daily work sheet.

Requirements

• Experience with MIG and TIG welding
• Ability to successfully pass the departmental welding test is required
• Ability to lift 30lbs-50lbs consistently throughout the shift is required
• Demonstrated skill in all job functions including setup and changeovers is required
• Ability to work overtime, off shifts and weekends as required, in addition to willingness to rotate jobs as required.
• Flexibility to change departments when needed
