About The Position

We are seeking a skilled Welder to join our team at a metals recycling facility. This role is responsible for fabricating, repairing, and maintaining equipment and structures in a fast-paced industrial environment.

Requirements

• Stick welding experience (very important)
• MIG welding experience
• Industrial or heavy equipment welding background
• Experience repairing worn or damaged steel
• Ability to read basic blueprints or measurements
• Comfortable with a dirty industrial recycling environment
• Comfortable working indoors and outdoors
• Comfortable with heat, sparks, dust, and loud machinery
• Comfortable with climbing, kneeling, and working in tight spaces
• Comfortable getting wet
• Pre-employment drug screening and background check are required as conditions of employment

Responsibilities

• Repair heavy recycling equipment
• Weld conveyors, bins, hoppers, and structural components
• Perform stick welding and MIG welding
• Fabricate replacement parts
• Repair cracks, wear plates, and damaged equipment
• Use torches, grinders, and cutting tools
• Assist maintenance teams during breakdowns
• Perform preventative maintenance repairs
