About The Position

Georgia-Pacific is now hiring a Welder to join our Lumber facility in Talladega, AL! This role involves working in a hot, humid, cold, and noisy industrial environment up to 12 hours per day, standing for extended periods, and lifting/carrying objects weighing up to 60 pounds. The team creates value by safely assisting with the production of lumber for valued customers.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of general welding experience.
• Knowledge of various welding techniques including TIG, MIG, Arc, and Oxy-fuel Welding.
• Must demonstrate the ability to produce welds that are 100% x-ray quality and visually acceptable.
• Must know how to clean welds with a buffer or grinder for the welder.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with a Computerized Maintenance Management Software (CMMS).
