About The Position

Advanced Blending Solutions LLC of Wallace, MI is looking to hire a full-time Welder to join our production team. The pay for this skilled welder position is $22.25+ dependent on relevant experience and weld test. Advanced Blending Solutions LLC is a privately-owned full-service designer and manufacturer of blending and convey equipment for the plastics industry, with state-of-the-art fabrication, machining, and panel-building facilities in Wallace. Requirements

  • Technical degree/certificate in welding or comparable experience
  • Ability to read and interpret basic blueprints and operate a variety of welding equipment
  • Use of logic and reasoning in daily decision making and problem solving
  • Basic computer proficiency (ability to utilize our system to track jobs)
  • Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 lbs

Responsibilities

  • Utilize various welding techniques: TIG, MIG, shielded metal arc, and gas metal arc.
  • Interpret basic blueprints to weld parts in various positions including flat, horizontal, vertical, and overhead.
  • Clamp, hold, tack-weld, heat-bend, bolt, or grind parts as necessary to fabricate the final product to specifications.
  • Inspect finished products using precision measuring tools to ensure specifications are met.
  • Enter data into the quality management system.
  • Monitor equipment and materials to ensure safe operation while following safety procedures.
