Howden’s core focus is on providing quality solutions for air and gas handling and have over a century of experiences in doing so. We are currently seeking an experienced Welder based at our Windsor, CT location.
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED
- 3 plus years of welding experience
- Ability to lift up to 25lbs
- Must possess mechanical aptitude
- Ability to work overtime as needed
Nice To Haves
- Current and valid certification a plus
Responsibilities
- Weld components in flat, vertical, or overhead positions
- Perform TIG and MIG welding on a daily basis
- Reviews blueprints, work instructions, and job specifications to determine appropriate materials, tools, and procedures needed to complete processes
- Layout, position, align, and secure parts and assemblies prior to assembly, using straightedges, combination squares, calipers, and rulers
- Weld separately or in combination, using aluminum and stainless steel
- Clamp, hold, tack-weld, heat-bend, grind, or bolt component parts to obtain required configurations and positions for welding
- Perform all work in accordance with quality standards and established safety procedures
- Maintain a clean and safe work area
