About The Position

Responsible for performing in-process correction of foundry discontinuities by manual welding. This role involves performing welding operations on investment castings components using the Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW) method. The welder will read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to ensure accurate welding on castings per specifications. They will visually inspect welded castings for integrity and customer requirements, and perform cosmetic repairs as needed, ensuring quality welds and visual quality of castings. The position also requires maintaining a clean and organized work area, collaborating with engineers and team members to address casting issues, and adhering to all safety protocols and company regulations.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience of welding with focus on investment castings aerospace manufacturing.
  • Proficient in Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW).
  • Proficient welding with all alloys, Nickel, Cobalt, Stainless Steel, Aluminum.
  • Strong ability to work with precision and attention to detail, ensuring high quality results.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, ability to work under pressure.
  • Welding certifications.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and interact with other team members.
  • Proficient in basic arithmetic.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions provided in written, oral, diagram, or scheduled form.

Responsibilities
