About The Position
Carry-On Trailer in Missouri Valley, Iowa is seeking welders for their Utility Line and Cargo Line. The successful candidate will be responsible for welding metal pieces together to build quality trailers. The company offers a new starting wage of $21.00 and a $1,000 hiring bonus for new team members, along with insurance, benefits, and 401K. Carry-On Trailers have been built with pride in Missouri Valley since 1997.
Requirements
- Ability to proficiently perform each of the duties listed above
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as blueprints
- High School
Nice To Haves
- Welding experience is preferred but not required
- Ability to understand instructions in English or Spanish is helpful
Responsibilities
- Read a blueprint and build trailers according to the blueprint
- Proficiently use all tools related to the welding process including – but not limited to - a jig, a square and a tape measure
- Position and clamp materials together prior to welding
- Maintain a safe and orderly weld bay
- Build a minimum number of trailers per day according to the company standard
- Perform other duties as assigned
