About The Position

As a Welder (HVAC Piping), you will fabricate, assemble, install, and repair piping systems for commercial HVAC, refrigeration, hydronic, and mechanical applications. The work primarily uses TIG (GTAW) and Stick (SMAW) welding on carbon steel, stainless steel, copper, and other alloys to produce precise, leak-free welds that meet applicable code and quality standards in construction environments. This is a skilled craftsperson role focused on technical welding and installation, with no formal supervisory responsibilities. You may provide informal guidance to apprentices or junior welders and pipefitters. The position is primarily field-based in commercial and industrial construction settings, with regional travel to project sites and possible out-of-town work, overtime, weekends, shift work, and occasional on-call availability as business needs dictate. It is safety-sensitive and requires strict adherence to safety rules and use of required PPE. Modigent describes itself as a national provider of infrastructure, technology, and energy solutions through specialized HVAC, plumbing, and controls brands. The company highlights a people-first culture and offers competitive compensation, benefits, paid time off, retirement savings, professional development, and career advancement opportunities. Compensation is based on experience and level; performance incentives and tool allowances may apply.
