About The Position

Welds together structural metal components as specified by blueprints, work orders, or oral instructions. This role requires a strong understanding of the working characteristics of various metallic and non-metallic materials, along with the specific equipment used in the welding process. The welder must be proficient in welding butts and bulbs in all positions and capable of passing Ultrasonic (UT) and Magnetic Particle (MT) test methods. Tank testing and associated duties are also part of the responsibilities.

Requirements

• 3 years minimum marine structural journeyman welding experience.
• Must be able to weld butts and bulbs in all positions.
• Must be able to pass Ultrasonic (UT) and Magnetic Particle (MT) test methods.

Nice To Haves

• Ability to pass a welding test in the overhead and vertical positions based on certifications being sought.
• Prior experience as a welder or vocational training is acceptable.

Responsibilities
