About The Position

This opportunity is for SPX Technologies' Electric Heat business, a leader in electric heating and ventilation solutions. The Welder will perform welding operations to assemble and secure sheet metal for electrical and industrial equipment, according to engineering drawings and specifications. Electric Heat offers a wide range of standard and customized products through leading brands like QMark, Indeeco, Berko, and Brasch, focusing on high-quality, energy-efficient solutions.

Requirements

• One to three months related experience and/or training
• Ability to correctly read a tape measure.
• Ability to read engineering drawings.
• Knowledge of tig welding, mig welding, and spot welding equipment and techniques.

Nice To Haves

• Tig welding, Mig welding, and stick welding certification
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)

Responsibilities

• Lays out, positions, and secures parts and assemblies according to specifications.
• Welds or tack welds metal parts together, using tig welding, mig welding, or spot welding equipment.
• Removes rough spots from workpiece, using grinder, sander, or saw.
• May be trained and tested to be ASME certified.
