This job is responsible for welding aluminum shapes to vacuum tight standards. Requirements

  • HS or equivalent
  • Previous experience with aluminum Tig welding
  • 1+ years of work experience or experience in school or apprenticeship setting
  • A strong work ethic and attention to detail are a must.
  • Attention to quality & workmanship
  • Ability to use small hand tools.
  • Skill with precision measuring equipment and a wide variety of hand tools.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with welding to vacuum tight standards is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Select, install and adjust tips, shield.
  • Install and replace gas tanks, fill/wire according to type of weld type and assembly.
  • Secure parts and assemblies with clamps and custom fixturing.
  • Review finished part for conformance to design with use of measuring instruments such as calipers and rulers.
  • Use schematics, blueprints, verbal and written instructions to weld and rework parts.
  • Resolves and/or reports welding problems accordingly to establish company procedures.
  • May be required to fill out and submit Non Conformance Reports (NCR’s).
  • Maintains clean and safe working environment.
  • Contributes to team effort and other tasks as needed.
  • Strict compliance with the quality, occupational safety and environmental regulations.
  • Implementation of the instructions of the quality / environmental management representative and the occupational safety specialist.

Benefits

  • Compensation for this temporary position is expected from $31.00 to $41.00 per hour based on experience.
