TBEI – Lake Crystal is a cutting-edge manufacturer of Class 3–8 truck bodies and truck and trailer hoists, specializing in municipal and utility applications. As a Welder at TBEI, you’ll play a hands-on role in building high-quality truck bodies, hoists, and fabricated components.

Requirements

• Ability to perform basic math for measuring, assembling, and problem-solving.
• Ability to demonstrate welding ability and successfully pass required welding certifications.
• Ability to read and understand complicated instructions, blueprints, and work orders.
• Basic computer skills for simple data entry.
• Ability and willingness to learn and operate multiple machines and jigs.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate welding equipment to weld and assemble truck bodies, hoists, and fabricated parts (including robotic welding equipment, as applicable).
• Read and interpret blueprints, work instructions, and measuring devices.
• Make welding equipment adjustments as needed to meet quality and production standards.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
• Support continuous improvement and lean initiatives by following process flow and remaining flexible to support team needs.
• Rotate between machines and jigs within the job area as required by scheduling, team needs, or safety recommendations.
