About The Position

Due to our continued growth, Wright Manufacturing, Inc. (WMI), an award winning producer of commercial grade lawn equipment, is looking for committed people to join our welding team, assisting the department and team in the manufacture and building of one of the safest, most durable and highest quality lawn equipment in the world. We provide paid training for entry-level welders. No experience required.

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. when required
• Ability to regularly stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
• Ability to work in an environment that is not climate controlled
• Ability to work in a moderate to high noise level environment
• Excellent attendance record
• Ability to understand basic mechanical and manufacturing techniques

Nice To Haves

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints preferred
• High mechanical aptitude preferred
• Some welding knowledge preferred

Responsibilities

• Interpret blueprints, drawings, and measurements to plan layouts
• Weld small and large components, including sheet metal, by using machinery that emits high heat, melting the metal together
• Weld components in flat and vertical positions
• Maintain and repair all machinery
• Assess welded surfaces, structures, and components to identify errors
• Follow and enforce strict safety regulations such as wearing heat-resistant gloves, protective masks, hearing protection, eye protection, and safety shoes
• Monitor machinery for appropriate usage and temperature
