This position involves fabricating miscellaneous steel pipe and mechanical supports according to shop drawings or engineering details. The role requires utilizing FCAW or SMAW welding processes while ensuring safety, timeliness, and the highest quality of work. Requirements

AWS D1.1 Structural Steel Certification with FCAW and SMAW
Must be able to lift 50 pounds, climb, bend, twist, stand and reach repetitively.
Ability to perform overhead (4G) welding is a plus.
Pass a background check.

Responsibilities

Perform duties using FCAW (Flux Core Arc Welding) or SMAW (Shielded Metal Arc Welding).
Perform welds in flat (1G), horizontal (2G), and vertical (3G) positions.
Read and understand shop fabrication drawings.
Read and understand engineering details.
Ability to fabricate and assemble weldments from shop drawings and sketches.
Ensure weldments are in conformance with AWS D1.1.
Must be able to lift 50 pounds, climb, bend, twist, stand and reach repetitively.
Operate Various Equipment and Machinery (Grinders, Saws, Drill Press, Forklift, etc.).
Keep a Clean and Organized Workplace.
Utilize personal protective equipment such as masks, welding helmets, welding sleeves, gloves, steel toe boots, safety glasses, ear plugs, etc.
Confidently convert fractions to decimal equivalents on the spot as needed.
Maintain tools, equipment, and workspace.
