The Welder will setup, tack, and perform all types of welding on all gauges of ferrous and non-ferrous metals. Use special or general purpose fixtures, or improvise same, as required.
Requirements
- Welding skills
- Ability to work with other personnel
- Ability to read and interpret complicated drawings, advanced shop mathematics, and handbook formulas.
Responsibilities
- Setup, tack, and perform all types of welding on all gauges of ferrous and non-ferrous metals.
- Use special or general purpose fixtures, or improvise same, as required.
- Cut and fit, heat and bend, perform weld repairs, salvage, rebuild parts as directed.
- Work any position.
- Parts vary in size, crane provided.
- Clean welds as required.
- Work with other personnel during assembly of large components.
- Use of fairly complicated drawings, advanced shop mathematics, handbook formulas, etc.
