About The Position

Steel Craft is seeking motivated individuals to join our team as Robotic Welder Trainees. This entry-level opportunity includes three weeks of hands-on welding training, followed by supervised on-the-job experience with a Certified Weld Instructor or Robotic Weld Supervisor. No previous welding experience is required. We are looking for dependable candidates with manufacturing experience, mechanical aptitude, and a willingness to learn.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand, bend, or move for extended periods
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and familiarity with hand/power tools
  • Willingness to learn new tasks and follow verbal and written instructions
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality
  • Ability to follow all safety rules and procedures

Responsibilities

  • Complete classroom and hands-on training in welding operations, equipment controls, safety, and quality.
  • Operate automated MIG and TIG robotic welding equipment under supervision.
  • Read basic blueprints, specifications, and welding symbols.
  • Load and position parts correctly for welding.
  • Visually inspect welds and completed parts for defects.
  • Perform basic quality checks and document results.
  • Identify equipment or weld-quality concerns and notify the appropriate team member.
  • Enter production and job information into company computer systems.
  • Assist with minor rework, material handling, stacking, and packing.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
  • Follow all company safety, quality, and operating procedures.
