About The Position

This role involves executing accurate welding of various materials and thicknesses to meet customer specifications. The position offers opportunities for both robotic and manual welding, with a focus on quality, efficiency, and safety.

Requirements

Proficient ability in various welding techniques (MIG, TIG, etc.)
Ability to read blueprints
Welding experience or trade school welding program required
Successful complete of an in-house weld test
Ability to read tape measure accurately
Great work ethic and attendance
Strong attention to detail
Ability to lift 50lbs
High school diploma or GED required

Responsibilities

Program, set up, and operate welding equipment
Troubleshoot robotic welding systems, controllers, sensors, and peripheral equipment
Perform routine maintenance and inspections on welding robots and tooling
Monitor weld quality and adjust to improve performance and consistency
Read and interpret blueprints, welding symbols, and technical drawings
Develop and optimize robotic welding programs to improve productivity and reduce scrap
Maintain accurate production, maintenance, and quality records
Follow all company safety procedures
Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on Safety, 5S, efficiency, quality, and cost reductions
Ensure work meets quality standards
Keep work area clean and organized
Safely set up parts for welding using hand tools, clamps, jigs and fixtures
Align, position and fit components into fixtures as instructed
Set up operation of automated equipment
