About The Position

We are looking for a Repair Technician in Houston, TX! This role operates Monday - Friday from 7:30 am to 4:30 pm. Equipment repair and maintenance training is an asset. The technician repairs, refurbishes, and maintains engine-driven welding equipment and generators while contributing to a safe and supportive working environment. This role also collaborates to assemble electric, diesel, gas, and propane equipment for rental. The ideal candidate will ensure precision and reliability through testing and calibration so machines are ready to serve our customers. This role also involves repainting parts, touching up paint, and applying decals to welders to maintain a professional appearance. You will identify and update parts while completing essential preventative maintenance. This role coordinates parts ordering as required to ensure the team can complete repairs efficiently. It also inspects returned equipment to ensure proper operation and identify any necessary care. The role requires the ability to use a forklift, pallet jack, or other necessary equipment to organize required parts in the shop. Fostering a clean and organized work environment is key. This role prepares and completes documentation for all machine repairs. Occasionally, this role provides on-site service to support our equipment and customers. Nurturing open communication with all branch personnel and fostering understanding with customers regarding the most effective equipment for their projects are also aspects of this role. Supports field operations as needed to reach our shared business goals. Performs other related duties as a collaborative team member.

Requirements

High School Diploma required.
A Valid Driver License and good driving record

Nice To Haves

0-1 years of related technical experience; we welcome those early in their career or transitioning from similar fields.
A working knowledge of power generating and welding equipment is a plus.
Thoroughness and care in technical tasks, paired with solid organizational skills.
Ability to multi-task and thrive with trusted autonomy while staying connected to team goals.

Responsibilities

Contributes to a culture of safety by following Airgas/Red-D-Arc’s health and safety guidelines.
Restores and maintains all Electric and Engine Drives to ensure peak performance.
Collaborates to assemble electric, diesel, gas, and propane equipment for rental.
Ensures precision and reliability through testing and calibration so machines are ready to serve our customers.
Repaints parts, touches up paint, and applies decals to welders to maintain a professional appearance.
Identifies and updates parts while completing essential preventative maintenance.
Coordinates parts ordering as required to ensure the team can complete repairs efficiently.
Inspects returned equipment to ensure proper operation and identify any necessary care.
Skilled in using a forklift, pallet jack, or other necessary equipment to organize required parts in the shop.
Fosters a clean and organized work environment for the benefit of the whole team.
