About The Position

Nucor Warehouse Systems is seeking welders for their Frame department. The ideal candidate will prioritize safety, demonstrate teamwork, and actively seek opportunities to enhance efficiency and safety. This role involves operating gas-shielded MiG welders, using various tools for assembly, performing basic maintenance on welding equipment, and interpreting technical documents like blueprints and specifications. The position requires meeting daily production goals and strictly adhering to company safety practices and procedures. Safety is paramount at Nucor, and candidates must be able to uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards.

Requirements

Ability to pass a welding test
Willingness to work any shift for 8 to 10 hours
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
Must be able to lift, push, pull, lean, bend, and squat for an 8 to 10-hour shift
Attention to detail
Basic math skills

Nice To Haves

1-2 years of welding experience

Responsibilities

Setup gas-shielded MiG-welder and weld parts to job specifications
Use hand tools, clamps, and grinders to perform job tasks
Complete basic maintenance on welding equipment
Able to read, interpret, and understand blueprints, drawings, specifications, weld symbols, tolerances
Clamp, hold, tack-weld, heat-bend, and bolt parts and components as necessary to satisfy technical requirements and create final welded and/or assembled product
Examine finished products and spare parts and compare them with drawings and quality control documents to determine if specifications and tolerances are met
Meeting daily production goals
Follow company safety practices and procedures
