About The Position

The Welder Manual / Mig operates MIG welding equipment and performs production MIG welding on medium to heavy parts to meet customer quality requirements. The position may also involve operating production equipment, repairing production parts, setting up welding equipment and gas mixtures, and completing required paperwork. The welder works within a team and must adhere to applicable Quality and Environmental Systems requirements.

Requirements

• Previous experience with production MIG welding.
• General education requirements: high school and/or GED.
• Ability to lift 40 pounds and twist, bend, squat, climb, stand, and walk continuously in close, confined surroundings.

Responsibilities

• Record statistical data and/or meter or gauge readings when required.
• Maintain good attendance and a satisfactory disciplinary record.
• Work in an environment with welding robots.
• Support and adhere to Quality and Environmental Systems requirements as needed.
• Repair production parts when necessary.
• Set up MIG welders where and when needed.
• Set up proper gas mixtures when necessary.
• Perform production MIG welding where and when needed.
• Operate production equipment when needed.
• Prepare required paperwork.
• Work within a team environment.
• Perform other responsibilities determined necessary by the supervisor.
