About The Position

M.W. Watermark is seeking a Welder III to join their team. The company is passionate about water, focusing on innovation, customer service, and environmental consciousness. They specialize in building custom water and wastewater treatment equipment and aim to make a positive impact on the planet by keeping water clean and usable for future generations. This is a full-time, hourly position.

Requirements

Understanding of geometric tolerances and dimensional stack-ups.
Understanding of required welding gasses and wires.
8+ years of experience in structural welding of steel components.
8+ years of experience in seal welding of steel tanks.
8+ years of experience with MIG and TIG welding techniques.
Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills (normally acquired through a high school diploma or equivalent).
Ability to read and understand shop drawings and specifications.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Nice To Haves

Weld certifications are preferred for all above requirements.

Responsibilities

Fabrication and structural welding of water treatment machinery components.
Seal welds for large steel tanks used in water treatment.
Pre-weld prep of subcomponents and post-weld prep for paint, including removal of sharp edges, burrs, weld spatter, and slag by grinding, chiseling, etc.
Perform MIG and TIG welding of carbon and stainless steels.
Perform some non-structural welding of carbon and stainless steel.
Perform pipe welding.
Interpret blueprints, specifications, diagrams, or schematics to determine appropriate welding process.
Inspect completed welds to determine structural soundness.
Build fixtures and jigs.
Perform quality control using fillet gauges and other equipment.
Operate saws, drills, forklifts, and overhead cranes.
Clean and maintain work area.
Promote and contribute to a continuous improvement culture.
Perform other duties as assigned.
