As a Welder II, you will be responsible for assembling, aligning, squaring up, fitting, stiffening, and tack welding a variety of subassemblies and assemblies of moderate to advanced complexity. This role requires the use of various tools and equipment to fit parts, select appropriate welding materials, and regulate welding parameters for proper penetration and fusing of metals. You will also be responsible for checking and straightening gasket surfaces, grinding excess weld, laying out and securing work, and performing preventive maintenance. The position involves performing moderate to advanced Mig/Tig welding in various positions, maintaining a safe and clean work environment, conserving resources, and contributing to team effort by training others in welding tasks. You will also be required to inspect all work to ensure it meets requirements and document actions by completing production and quality forms. Training others on proper welding procedures and techniques is also a key part of this role.
