Cadrex is searching for a Welder II to use Manual Welding skills to manufacture weldments to defined specifications, workmanship standards and production schedule. The role requires preparing and setting up necessary tools and equipment for welding jobs, arranging parts for welding and staging processes, and performing quality inspection/checks per quality documentation/control plan. The Welder II will detect and report defective materials or questionable conditions, maintain a clean work area and equipment, and follow safety procedures. This position involves reading and comprehending simple instructions and writing simple correspondence. The employee is expected to uphold site efficiency standards, continuously improve safety and quality standards, and perform other duties as requested by the Lead or assigned to other work areas. Understanding welding symbols, print tolerances, and quality measuring equipment is essential, as is the ability to work independently, troubleshoot issues, and produce quality work at company standard efficiency. The role also includes cross-training in multiple workstations.
