DESCRIPTION: We are seeking a skilled Welder II where you'll contribute to producing high-quality laboratory equipment used by pharmaceutical companies, biotechnology firms, and research institutions. In this position, you'll apply your expertise in MIG and TIG welding to fabricate precision components according to engineering specifications. You'll work collaboratively with team members to maintain quality standards, address technical challenges, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. Our welders demonstrate excellent craftsmanship and attention to detail, ensuring each product meets our rigorous quality standards.

Requirements

  • One (1) year of hands-on welding experience with MIG and TIG processes
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and engineering specifications
  • Demonstrated proficiency in setting up and operating welding equipment
  • Experience with quality control processes and first piece production review
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and handle bulky parts
  • Ability to stand, bend, and reach throughout shift
  • Visual acuity for detailed product assembly and inspection
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to complete required documentation including router sheets and non-conforming tickets
  • Demonstrated ability to identify and report quality issues promptly.

Nice To Haves

  • Welding certification (MIG and TIG) may substitute for experience
  • Experience in cGMP environment preferred
