The Welder I performs welding tasks using various methods such as GTAW, PAW and Resistance Welding. This role requires the ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to complete work accurately. The Welder I will cut, shape, and assemble metal parts according to instructions, and inspect finished products for quality, accuracy, and compliance with specifications. Responsibilities also include setting up welding equipment, maintaining tools, selecting appropriate welding materials, operating basic hand and power tools, and maintaining inventory of welding materials. Safety is paramount, requiring adherence to all company safety policies, procedures, and OSHA regulations, wearing proper PPE, and participating in safety training. The role involves maintaining accurate records of work performed and communicating effectively with supervisors and team members.
