About The Position

This position involves performing welding tasks using various methods such as GTAW, PAW, and Resistance Welding. The Welder I will read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to complete work accurately. Responsibilities include cutting, shaping, and assembling metal parts, inspecting finished products for quality, and setting up welding equipment. The role also requires maintaining tools, managing inventory of welding materials, and adhering to all company safety policies and OSHA regulations. The Welder I will also maintain accurate records of work performed and communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.

Requirements

Basic knowledge of welding techniques and processes (GTAW, PAW, Resistance).
Ability to read blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship.
Physical stamina and manual dexterity.
Commitment to workplace safety and following procedures.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Minimum one (1) year of welding experience.

Nice To Haves

Completion of a welding training program or vocational certification preferred.

Responsibilities

Maintain inventory of welding materials and report shortages.
Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and OSHA regulations.
Wear proper personal protective equipment (PPE) and ensure a safe work environment.
Identify and report hazards or unsafe conditions to supervisors.
Participate in safety training and maintain compliance with welding certifications.
Maintain accurate records of work performed, including materials used and job progress.
Report completed work and any issues or defects to supervisors promptly.
Work closely with other welders, fabricators, and production team members.
Assist higher-level welders or technicians as needed for complex tasks.
Communicate effectively with supervisors regarding work progress and challenges.
