About The Position

Under direct supervision, this role involves spot welding metal components together. The position fabricates and assembles metal structures and equipment using welders, cutters, shapers, and measuring tools to produce metal products according to specifications. Responsibilities include reading and interpreting diagrams, sketches, and blueprints to determine operations, required materials, and timeframes for projects, as well as setting up, operating, and maintaining welding equipment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Basic ability to read engineering drawings and specifications to plan layout, assembly, and welding operations.
• Requires precision control and dexterity.
• Able to move objects weighing up to 75 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Spot welds together metal components.
• Fabricates and assembles metal structures and equipment through the use of welders, cutters, shapers and measuring tools.
• Produce metal products according to specifications.
• Read and interpret diagrams, sketches and blueprints to determine operations, required materials and timeframes for projects.
• Set up, operate and maintain welding equipment.
