Requirements

  • Ability to work will in a fast-paced environment to meet team expectations.
  • Understanding and support of Company policies and procedures.
  • Ability to understand and abide by all safety rules and regulations to perform the job.
  • Must have a basic understanding of computers.
  • Must have reading, writing and simple math skills.
  • Must be able to read blueprints.
  • Must have either a High School diploma, GED, or at least 1 year working experience in an industrial based environment.
  • Hold necessary weld certifications to fabricate and repair pressure vessels.
  • Successfully complete dye penetrant certification.
  • Successfully complete any training/safety program relating to the operation of the equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Adhere to and abide by all plant safety rules and regulations.
  • Perform daily preventative maintenance tasks.
  • Perform daily equipment check lists (IE crane checks, equipment checks, etc.).
  • Be able to read and interpret blueprints, job routings, and Standard Engineering Specifications.
  • Properly assemble heads, shells, and flanges for circumferential seam welding.
  • Hold necessary weld certifications to fabricate and repair pressure vessels.
  • Be able to perform all kinds of welding, cutting, gouging operations applicable to the company, to properly fabricate pressure vessels.
  • Handset couplings, flanges, pipe nipples, legs, brackets, braces, etc., within tolerances specified on blueprints.
  • Record required information on proper forms relating to specific fabrication practices where required.
  • Pneumatic test doubler pads.
  • Dye penetrants inspect and do repairs to joggled shells. Successfully complete dye penetrant certification.
  • Material handling – operation of cranes, and hoists. Also successfully complete any training/safety program relating to the operation of the equipment.
  • Perform modifications or alterations to previously fabricated pressure vessels.
  • Understand the ISO system and the elements that affect your job.
  • Must prove that employee can meet the essential duties of the job within 90 days by completing employee training checklist F-HR – 720-02-03-26 or F-HR – 720-02-03-27.
